Build it before we sell it
We would rather own the brand than resell somebody else's. It takes longer at the start, and it means the quality of the product is our problem rather than someone else's.
A Canadian company that builds brands, sells them through the channels customers already use, and looks after them once they are selling.
It began as an idea rather than a plan. Look at more than one brand at a time, work out where the real opportunities sit, and go after the ones worth the effort.
That thinking pulled us in two directions at once. The first was launching a brand of our own, so we would answer for the product itself and not only for the listing. The second was consultative work: account management and brand launch across different markets, for people who have something good and no clear route to the customer.
The two sides feed each other. What we learn running our own accounts is what we bring to the brands we advise, and what we see advising other brands tells us where to take our own next.

Six habits shape most of what we do.
We would rather own the brand than resell somebody else's. It takes longer at the start, and it means the quality of the product is our problem rather than someone else's.
Most people buy on a marketplace they already trust. We meet them there first, then give the brand its own storefront once there is a reason for one.
A venture gets proper attention until it stands on its own. We would rather run a small portfolio well than spread ourselves across a long list.
One team looks after sourcing, listings, stock, fulfilment and customer questions across every brand. It keeps decisions quick and standards even.
Alongside our own brands we take on consultative work: account management and brand launch across different markets, for owners who have a good product and need someone who has actually run the accounts.
A first run, a first listing or a first shipment comes before anything is scaled. We would rather learn from what really happened than from a forecast.
